G-STRUTS channels and fittings offers great flexibility in design and construction for a wide range of applications such as Cable supports for the Mechanical and Electrical Services, Power Plants, Service tunnels and various forms of frame work assemblies.
G-STRUTS are available in a range of surface finishing which offers different degrees of corrosion protection for a variety of environments.
G-STRUTS mechanical support systems are manufactured in accordance to BS 6946:1988.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Mild Steel channels are manufactured using materials complying to BS 1449:1991, BS EN 10149-3 or 10025-BS EN 2:2004 (where applicable).
Stainless Steel channels are manufactured using materials complying to BS EN 1088-2:2005 – Grade 316 (Grade 304 also available upon request).

FINISHES
Hot – Dipped Galvanized
Mild Steels channels are Hot – Dipped Galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461 2009 after manufacture.
Minimum Zinc coating:
Pre-Galvanized
Channels are manufactured using materials complying to BS EN 10346:2009 – Coating Z275.
Zinc Plated
Fixings: Bolts, Hexagon nuts, screws and washers are manufactured from steel complying to Zinc electroplated to BS EN ISO 2081:2008, BS EN ISO 2082:2008 or BS 7371-12:2008.
Special Coating
Special coatings are also available upon special request for all channels and fittings. Other coatings available are:
Mild Steels channels are Hot – Dipped Galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461 2009 after manufacture.
Minimum Zinc coating:
- Steel Channel thickness from 1.9mm to 2.5mm – 55 microns (393g/m²)
- Channel Fittings 6mm thickness – 55 microns (393g/m²)
Pre-Galvanized
Channels are manufactured using materials complying to BS EN 10346:2009 – Coating Z275.

Basis of design & formulation of safety loads
- Safe loads are calculated in accordance to BS 5950 Part 5:1998 – Code of Practice for Design of Cold Formed Sections
- Minimum Yield Stress (Ys) 280N/mm² accordance to BS EN 6892:2009
- Safety factor of channels, beam loads and corresponding deflections are calculated by the global factor of safety of 1.6.
